About Rocherr Landrum
Author. Storyteller. Healer through words.
Rocherr Landrum’s journey with the pen began long before she ever called herself a writer. It started with the women who raised her — her grandmother, mother, and sister — each of whom introduced her to the magic of the pencil. They were poets, creatives, and griots in their own right, boldly creating and reciting their own original works, leaving an imprint on Rocherr’s heart that would last a lifetime.
One of her most cherished inspirations is a welcome to a church program originally written by her grandmother, memorized by her mother, and — even through blindness and memory impairment — recalled word-for-word with powerful clarity. That memory is a testimony not only to her family’s creative legacy but to the enduring power of language and love.
Today, Rocherr continues that legacy as an author, educator, and creative visionary. She has written original children’s plays, performed by Purpose Revealed NFP across multiple Chicago Public Schools and charter school stages, bringing stories of healing, identity, and hope to young audiences.
Rocherr has contributed to multiple collaborative book projects curated by fellow authors, and is proudly featured in the Amazon Best Seller “It Takes Money Honey” by Pamela Mantey.
And now — her most personal and powerful work is on the horizon.
